ABOUT HWR TRUE TRANSITIONS

Half Way Ranch Inc was created in created in 1999 to assist in the out of pocket expenses for children in Foster Care.  Some of these expenses include sports fees, graduation expenses, prom dresses and tux, trips to adventurous places.  Children in foster care don’t always get the opportunity to have the same lives as a child raised with a bio family.

What is Foster Care?
Foster Care is an umbrella term that encompasses all out of home placements for children who cannot live with their birth parents.  These placements include, but are not limited to:

  • Living with a relative or
  • A unrelated adult or family,
  • A group home
  • A shelter

True Transitions is our latest program helping to serve foster or at-risk young adults who are at risk of being or becoming homeless.

Our Vision
To create a safe environment and educational programs that will provide the necessary support and tools to young adults while they transition from dependency to independency.  To help each resident develop life strategies that focus on enhancing their abilities and skills, to build positive peer relationships, better self-esteem, and develop short and long-term career goals.
